Welcome To the 52nd Annual Sylvan Beach Festival  Crawfish Jam 2008!

The 5^2nd Annual Sylvan Beach Festival and Crawfish Jam is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2008. Gates will open at 9:00am at historic Sylvan Beach Park on lovely Galveston Bay.

The festival will kick off with a parade which will begin at 10:00am. The parade will start on the corner of Fairmont Parkway and Broadway.  

Activities at the park begin immediately following the parade with many exciting things to enjoy including live entertainment, food, arts & crafts booths, a cook-off, a carnival, pageant, and much more.  

The cook-off will be coordinated by the La Porte Metro Go-Texan Sub-Committee. Teams will be judged in several categories and the cookers      always put on a great show! For more information contact Janet Hughes at         281-471-5020 or click here to download Cook-Off application.         

Always an exciting event, this year’s Miss Sylvan Beach will be crowned on stage at the Park.

Live entertainment includes: Janet Z, Bayou Roux Jarrod Birmingham, Bleu Edmonson and Randy Rogers.

Admission is $5 from 9:00am-5:00pm and $10 after 5:00pm, $2 for senior citizens, and free for children 10 and under accompanied by an adult.  For    more information, call the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of Commerce at               281-471-1123.
